Project Life Experience
Project Life Experience is a service-learning based program designed to close the achievement gap among middle school aged economically disadvantaged, at-risk, minority, male students as well as provide them with financial education and awareness. Key components of Project Life Experience include discussions with students regarding their perceptions of educational achievements and applicability of education to their daily lives. Project Life Experience is designed to identify and resolve negative perceptions that may cause barriers to education. The service-learning curriculum is designed on a supply chain platform which gives each student a job function based on the educational strengths and adding emphasis on the need to address educational weaknesses to perform those tasks. The expected result is for students to understand the direct correlation between their current educational material and their future job functions and financial stability.
